Finished....not yet.....

Not sure why, but in the render window the right eye lashes have a scratch across them so have to fix that:

Managed to sort out this little error, just had to tweak the vertices :)

Progress - Finished

Model is completely done now:

* The lashes have been added on,
* The eyes are done including the cornea
* Ankle and shoe divison has been made more extreme
* New texture has been done and applied

* Also, Aminata has decided now NOT to apply any bump mapping on the hair now, so everything will remain as it is

There is not any major changes so I will not provide another turn-around video, just refer this post (or scroll down a bit) if you want to see the final model turning 360, otherwise I have provided a screenshot instead:



Also, the model has now been sent off to Aminata instead

How the Model looks at the moment


Here is how Young Ginette looks now with her new skin:
Now onto the lashes and off it can be sent to Tim (Aminata's instructions)

Skin & other notes


Here is a swatch of a skin texture Aminata sent me about a week ago to add on top of the skin texture I have already painted.

Also, Aminata has decided to leave the UVs for the hair as they were when I sent them to her the first time.
I have made sure and checked with Aminata she is not going to make sudden decisions after these changes and Sarah was a witness to this hehehe

Aminata needed a screenshot so she could experiment with it in After Effects with the whole "old age" feel, here is the screenshot I have provided her to use.

More...

Okay, Aminata called me this afternoon and said that she had just remembered to ask if it was possible for me to include curly lashes on the finished young Ginette model...

I created lashes for my own characters so I suggested using alpha maps to create them instead of building each of the individual lashes because not only will it be time-efficient, it will look more natural and keep the poly count low.

Model Fully Completed

The finished character, fully modelled and textured:

Here is the final model for young Ginette



The complete model is 4668 polys before smooth.
When smoothed it is 18354 polys (eek) including full set of teeth, tongue, inner mouth/gums

Details such as the skirt pleating and creasing of the scarf are some of the main contributors of the high poly count.

If Aminata needs to lower the poly count then I can suggest "softening" as some of the features including the teeth, tongue, hair should have acceptable level of detail when softened instead of smoothed:
